Rules and regulations
These rules apply to everyone who submits a paper to, registers for or attends a Global Science Networks (GSN) international conference. Please read them before you register.
A. Paper submission and publication
- Papers must be original and must not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
- Authors and co-authors must inform their head of department, principal or supervisor that they are submitting a paper to a GSN conference.
- Authors and co-authors must give their correct affiliation in the paper.
- The organising committee may not accept papers submitted after the last date of registration.
- Each paper is peer reviewed by two internal or external GSN reviewers before acceptance.
- GSN may publish the email addresses of authors and co-authors online.
- After registration, GSN cannot add, change or remove an author's name without the permission of all authors of the paper.
- GSN never publishes an unregistered paper.
- GSN does not verify who the original author of a paper is. The person who submits the paper is treated as its original author.
- If a complaint about authorship is received and found to be true, the paper is removed from online publication immediately.
- A removed paper or abstract cannot be republished.
B. Attending a conference
- All participants must register and pay the fee shown on the official conference page before the conference.
- Check the official conference page regularly for the latest information. Refresh the page to see updates.
- GSN may change the venue or date before the conference. Registered participants are informed by email.
- Violence of any kind at or around the venue is not tolerated.
- Bring an original photo ID to the conference. Without it you cannot attend.
- If conference kits run short, GSN sends the kit by courier after the conference.
Cancellation and refunds
- Participants who arrive after the reporting time may not be allowed to take part, and the fee is not refunded.
- GSN is not responsible for any financial loss from tickets or bookings if a conference is cancelled, rescheduled, moved or held virtually.
- If an author cancels their registration or chooses not to attend (in person or online), the fee is not refunded.
- No refund is given to participants who attended the conference (in person or online) or received the proceedings, journal or certificate.
- No refund is given after an official invitation letter or visa letter has been issued.
- All conferences are hybrid, and the organiser may hold an event in person or online. No refund is given because of a change of format.
- If GSN approves a full or partial refund, the participant must email the refund form to the coordinator.
C. Publication in proceedings and journals
- GSN may select papers from the conference for publication in international journals.
- On the author's written request, GSN can submit a paper to an associated journal indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, EI or SCI. The author pays the journal's publication cost. Review and publication take at least three months.
- Conference fees are not refunded if a paper is not selected by a Scopus or SCI indexed journal, or if the author decides not to publish in a journal after the conference.
- For publication in an associated journal, the paper must be extended by at least 20%.
- The second-round review for associated journals takes 25 to 60 days after the conference.
- All associated journals have an ISSN.
- Authors pay for printed copies of journals.
- The editorial board may reject a paper after the second review. Conference fees are not refunded in that case.
D. Plagiarism policy
- All papers are checked with plagiarism detection software. Papers that do not meet the criteria are returned to the author for revision.
- If plagiarism is found just before publication, the author may resubmit after revision. If the editor considers it a major issue, the paper is rejected.
- If plagiarism or a false identity is suspected after publication, the paper is removed until verification is complete. If only a few paragraphs are affected, the author may revise the paper, which is restored after the editor's approval.
- If GSN finds serious plagiarism, a false identity or a copyright violation in a published paper, the paper is permanently removed, the author is blacklisted, the removal is noted on the journal website and indexing services are informed.
- Republishing your own earlier work (self-plagiarism) is treated in the same way.
E. Visa support and invitation letters
- GSN does not contact embassies or consulates for participants. It may confirm a registered participant's details in reply to an email from an embassy's official address.
- Participants are solely responsible for obtaining a visa and following immigration and travel rules.
- The invitation letter is only for attending the conference. It is not valid for immigration, employment or residence.
- The letter may support a visa application but does not guarantee a visa.
- GSN is not responsible for visa refusals, delays or related costs.
- A changed or misused invitation letter is invalid and may lead to cancellation of participation.
- By accepting an invitation letter, the participant agrees to follow international travel laws, conference policies and ethical standards.
- Legal action may be taken against anyone who falsifies or misuses a GSN invitation letter.
F. Declaration
- Global Science Networks aims to promote scientific and academic research worldwide.
- GSN may cancel a registration and withdraw a publication at any time if a participant breaks these rules.
- GSN may publish, withdraw or change a paper in its proceedings or journals at any time.
